Laurel Stone is the owner of the Laurel Stone School of Real Estate, where she helps future real estate professionals launch and grow their careers. She teaches pre-license sales classes, broker courses, Wisconsin’s mandatory continuing education, and post-license training—both in-person and online—making learning flexible and accessible.
Laurel’s real estate journey began in 1977, and since then she has worn many hats—selling homes, working with investors, managing properties, and even owning her own real estate company. Early on, her involvement with Toastmasters sparked a love for public speaking and teaching. That passion led her to her very first teaching role at Penn State University’s York Campus, where she taught a property management course. From there, education became a natural extension of her real estate career.
When Laurel moved to Wisconsin in 1984, she continued to blend her love of real estate with teaching. She spent years at Fox Valley Technical College, helping students prepare for sales and broker licenses, while also working in sales, property management, and office leadership. By 1991, she was offering accelerated classes designed to give students practical knowledge and confidence right from the start. In 2009, she began writing courses for Continuing Ed Express, expanding her reach and offering advanced training to licensees in Wisconsin and beyond.
Outside the classroom, Laurel is a proud mom to two daughters, Candace and Sharon, and a very proud grandmother to four grandchildren: Kyle, Miranda, Zachary, and Samantha.
